Frequently Asked Questions
What is a health consultant? What is an ND?
As a current health consultant (coach), I am not practicing as a doctor, and therefore do not have legal doctor-patient relationships with my clients. NDs are naturopathic doctors. NDs are trained as primary care physicians (to order labs, imaging, write prescriptions, perform minor surgery, etc) and then most go on to choose an area of focus, such as gastrointestinal or women’s health. ND medical school is similar to MD medical school, except everything is viewed through a holistic, root-cause, natural lens. There is less focus on drugs and a greater focus on natural methods. You can learn more here and about everything I learned in ND school here.
Who do I work with?
Adults 18+
Why do I do what I do?
I got into natural medicine because I’ve been bedbound and hopeless. I got out by accepting the helping hands of others and becoming my brain and body’s own expert, and I want you to get out and get your life back too.

Why don’t I bill insurance?
Insurance doesn’t cover consultants and it also doesn’t cover the type of results NDs like to get. I wouldn’t want insurance companies dictating our approach; I work for you!
Do I prescribe medications?
Unlike most coaches, I am a trained prescriber and in the past I prescribed meds to patients when appropriate (always as part of a holistic big picture), but I do not prescribe in my current role as a consultant. However, because of my education and clinical experience, I can counsel about medication options, drug-herb interactions, etc.
What additional training do I have outside of naturopathic medical school?
In naturopathic school, we completed rotations through different speciality areas, such as gastroenterology, endocrinology, women’s health and gynecology (yes, I am trained to do Pap smears!), environmental medicine (think: heavy metals, toxins), cardiology and pulmonary, etc. I mentored for 2 years with a Shoemaker (mold and CIRS) doctor, seeing patients and administering IVs. I trained with Dr. Richard Horowitz, a renowned Lyme doctor. I’ve worked in a chronic illness clinic that specialized in mystery illness, mold, immune conditions, and infectious disease. I’ve worked in a general naturopathic care clinic. I’ve worked in a women’s health and fertility clinic. I’ve studied biophysics, light therapy, psycho-neuro-endo-immunology (PNEI), energy medicine, holistic psychology, and nervous system regulation. I love to incorporate and blend all my trainings.
What is my spiritual/religious stance?
I work with church-goers, atheists, and everyone in between. One of the areas we look at is the health of your soul/spirit, in whatever way that shows up for you!
Do I have testimonials?
Yes, you can see all the success stories here!
