Could Mold Be Making You Sick?

  • 1. ERMI test

Conduct an ERMI dust Swiffer wipe test from Envirobiomics. You can order this yourself here. Only collect 30 days’ worth of dust from the places specified in their instructions.

  • 2. IEP inspection

If the results warrant it, hire a health-informed IEP or a CIRS-trained inspector, NOT a regular mold inspector. You can find one here or skip to Step 3 for more guidance on this.

  • 3. Find a mold doc

Establish with a trained professional to repair your mold-damaged cells and restore your health. Schedule a free Root Cause Evaluation to see about working with me or search for mold-aware docs here.

  • 4. Get Informed

If you want to start learning on your own about mold and how to properly clean belongings, these are my favorite resources: Surviving Mold, MoldFinders, and Mold Help For You.

Mold wreaks havoc on your entire body.

Mold toxicity commonly manifests as headaches, dizziness, anxiety or panic attacks, depression, brain fog or memory loss, digestive issues, frequent urination, chronic sinus infections, heart palpitations or POTS, joint or body pain, hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue syndrome, Candida overgrowth, fibromyalgia, and even autoimmunity. This chronic inflammatory response is known as CIRS.

Healing from mold exposure requires removing the exposure and doing the following in a careful, methodical way: detoxing the mold, rebalancing your immune system, repairing your brain, lowering inflammation and histamine, and supporting damaged organ systems. I always recommend working with an expert and not leaving your healing up to chance.

“Brain rewiring” or “nervous system regulation” is an important part of healing from mold AFTER the effects on the physical body have been taken care of. Learn more about brain health and rewiring in my free workshop here.
